Santa Pics for Shelter

Brent and I volunteered to take pictures of Pets with Santa at the Pet Supply Plus in Easton. We were busy and took in $615.00 for pictures at $5.00 a pop and about 175.00 in the donation jar. PSP provides the space, the decorations, printer, paper and ink so 100% of the money taken in goes directly to the Easton SPCA shelter. There were volunteers to dress up in the Santa outfit, volunteers to review the pics with the customers and then print them. A lot of volunteers and time but the payoff was well worth it!

The very first pet I photographed I had my camera set on Raw and their printer could not read it, I brought the images home and emailed them to the pets owner. The dog was very nervous and not very cooperative to being photographed, when the owner learned that the printer could not read the images she was really disappointed but we made it right and she is now happy.  In between pets the cards are erased because the printer has limited capacity, that is how I happen to have this image. I generally have no images to post.

I recieed a nice note from one of the clients at the pet with Santa shoot and want to pass it along:

Hi Marci,

Just wanted to pass along a letter that I read while doing the December Thank you notes.

Dear Volunteers:

Last Saturday (Dec 10th) when I took my dog to be photographed with Santa at PSP, the volunteers from your Center were so kind and good-natured that I felt compelled to send you this check ($50) in the hope that my donation will go toward helping the animals in your care.  Thank you for your good work.  I wish every animal born could be loved and cherished, but when that is not possible, I’m glad you’re there to give them food and shelter.  And love, too, judging from the people I met last Saturday.

Just thought that was very kind of her to do that and please pass on those words to anyone else who helped out if you’d like.
